We recently hosted a Partner Enablement Training focused on F5 Distributed Cloud (XC), bringing together our valued partners to explore modern API security and Web Application Protection.
Deep Dive into F5 Distributed Cloud: Discovering & Securing APIs
As organizations continue to embrace cloud-native applications and APIs, securing these digital assets has become more critical than ever. This enablement session provided participants with an in-depth understanding of how F5 Distributed Cloud Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) helps organizations discover, monitor, and protect APIs across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Throughout the session, attendees gained valuable insights into the key security capabilities available within the F5 Distributed Cloud platform, including:
API Discovery – Automatically identifies and maps API endpoints using AI/ML-driven discovery, visualizes API frameworks, detects sensitive data exposure, discovers new endpoints from traffic flows, and supports Swagger file export.
API Protection – Applies comprehensive security policies and controls to safeguard API endpoints, functions, and communications against evolving threats.
Web Application Firewall (WAF) – Protects applications with advanced signature-based detection and behavioral analysis to defend against a wide range of web application attacks.
Rate Limiting – Uses intelligent traffic analysis to apply granular rate-limiting policies, helping mitigate abuse, bots, and denial-of-service attempts.
Malicious User Detection – Leverages machine learning to identify suspicious user behavior, classify threat levels, and enable automated or manual mitigation actions.
